All I can see is a silhouette,
Rising and falling in time.
Out of smell, touch, sound, taste,
None of them accent its acute mime.
There is a silhouette here!
I can now smell its pieces,
Wafting through my parts long since gone.
An odor of ice and my body freezes,
I'm stuck to the spot like a pawn.
There is a silhouette there!
I can now touch its skin,
My hands feel they are scalding the day.
Its spark and its light, bursting within,
Stand me still and I can't look away.
There is a silhouette near!
I can now hear its thought,
A whispering idea of the wind.
A hope to be free and explore what is sought,
Leaving both of us lightly chagrined.
There is a silhouette!
I can now taste its texture,
Its being is closer than before.
I long for lips clasping, a sweet enrapture,
That would leave me riveted to the core.
There it is, everywhere!
All I can now sense is its silhouette,

I wish, most of all, for my senses to forget
